Who is the best musician and who has absolute pitch
For me, Menuhin was possibly the most overrated violinist of all time. Once he past his teens he was a mediocre player at best and an excrutiatingly out-of-tune one at worst. Shankar was the sitar player ‘par excellence’ but came from a completely different culture and background, making this ‘who is best’ question pointless and meaningless.
