Steve Winwood’s old song “My Love Is Leavin’ Me”?
Well I’m sitting here and hear this familiar tune from way back WHEN on the new smooth jazz station in my town and for a while I am wondering whether or not it is Michael McDonald or someone else. Cuz it sounds like McDonald, but at the same time, it sounds like a different artist.
Lo and behold, I find out it is Steve Winwood.
Question is, doesn’t Steve Winwood sound just like a BRITISH Michael McDonald? Or Michael Bolton. His post 80′s stuff sounds more like Mcdonald or Bolton, don’t u agree?

I can see the similarity with Michael McDonald… less so with Michael Bolton, who seems more bluesy/ mushy love songs, but I really like both Steve Winwood and MM.
Those early to mid-80s sounds… sorta synthesizer keyboards; nice. Love the Doobie Bros, too. Oh, and just heard a Christopher Cross song a few days ago… here in R&P ~ something Sailing ~ it was great hearing it again, and MM was singing backup.
