Christmas Cake Ice Cream Recipe?
I watched a Two Fat Ladies Christmas Special yesterday on UKTV Food but missed the part where they made Christmas Cake Ice Cream. It was the special at Winchester Cathedral. Does anyone have the recipe, or a recipe for Christmas cake ice cream?
I’d preferably like a weblink or the written instructions, not a guess like ‘search allrecipes.com’ or something. Sorry to be picky but I need a definitive answer.
Christmas cake ice cream
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Ingredients
2 litre vanilla ice cream
500 ml christmas fruit cake, cut into small pieces
10 maraschino cherries, quartered
10 green cherries, quartered
Method:
Remove ice cream from the freezer and allow to soften. Once soft, stir in the remaining ingredients to distribute evenly. Spoon mixture back into the ice cream container and freeze until hard. Serve decorated with maraschino cherries.
