Community Support For The Willy Wonka Production
Willy Wonka is all ready to make an appearance in Big Sky, MO this coming July and children are sure to enjoy it. The show is going to be put on by the Big Sky Broadway and directed by John Zirkle. The director as well as the cast hope to repeat the stupendous success that their last performance experienced. This past year, Zirkle directed the Singing Camp under the Big Sky Broadway banner. This was a Broadway Revue of show tunes. The profits raised through this show were used for a local fundraiser.
The Willy Wonka Production
Based on a Lone Peak Lookout report, the approaching Willy Wonka show is a much more ambitious project than the previous one. The actual show will premiere on July 1st. The star cast has 24 children among which there are some who haven’t even finished second grade of school. It has been a daunting task indeed for the director to get the rehearsals going according to schedule with this many active youngsters on the sets. Director Zirkle thinks that the kids are a most important part of the show simply because embody the fun and nature of the well loved story wonderfully. He says that this will certainly be a fun filled show for a youthful audience who will really enjoy the adventure and also silliness that this amazingly imaginative story has to offer. The show opens in the Big Sky Yellowstone Conference Center. During the show, La Chatelaine Chocolat company agents will be selling special chocolate bars, five of which will have golden tickets which will get the locator a box of chocolates free of charge.

Infrastructure support for the production has come in from Camp Big Sky, while many people in the Big Sky Community Chorus have pitched in to make the show financially feasible. Financial backing also was received from other community members. The Big Sky resort has provided the space for the show. Big Sky Blooms will be doing its bit for the production house by selling flower arrangements during the show. Half the proceeds of all sales will go to Big Sky Broadway. Ticket sales for the production have been quite good so far leading to hopes that the production house has indeed selected a winning show that time as well.
