When will the weather start cooling down?

I live in Northern California (Shingle Springs) and its so hot right now, I havent slept the last three nights due to the heat and lack of air conditioning. Around what month will it start cooling off here? Thanks.

Summer in California runs from June thru September, but the heat comes in waves lasting 5-15 days at a time. Most summers have four or five major heat waves. Get a fan and open the windows. If you are desperate, get a small spray bottle of water and spray your bare skin once in a while. Make an ice pack with ice and a plastic baggie. Drink iced drinks. Stay cool.
