What will happen if all the drugs (marijuana, cocaine, etc.) were legalized?
Well, this is a debatable question and I was just wondering what would happen if they were all legalized. Another question that relates to this question is “Should all drugs be legalized? Why or why not?” I would like both of these questions to be answered. All opinions are welcomed.
1. Black market crime would drastically decrease.
2. Meth would be produced in controlled industrial settings and not in neighborhoods where it can cause health problems to innocent people buying new homes.
3. People who sell drugs would ID and less children would be doing them.
4. The government would collect tax revenue on them and pay off the deficit.
While many will cringe at the thought of legalizing the harder drugs prohibition isn’t stopping people from doing those either. They’re less popular simply because most people aren’t dumb enough to use them. For those who are we might as well keep the sale of it out of the hands of violent criminals.
