Keyboard Lessons: The First Step Towards Inner Peace
Taking interest in playing instruments is one of the expressions of man’s desire to be at peace with his inner self. The keyboard is an accessible instrument that has mostly taken the place of organs and pianos and is presently the favorite of many people. Taking keyboard lessons not only helps a person to reach his goals of learning to play the instrument, but it also serves as an opportunity to expand his horizons as he acquires new skills. Below are some amazing insights about studying how to play the keyboard.
You do not need to have any technical education in music or have basic knowledge to take keyboard lessons as these will be taught to you during the lessons. Although not entirely necessary, a recollection of a few lessons learned in the music class in grade school may be significant in playing the keyboard.
As opposed to what most people think about the difficulty of learning to play any instrument for the first time, playing the keyboard is actually easier to understand compared to other instruments. The keyboard is tuned digitally so there is no difficulty for a novice to set it up before playing in contrast to the guitar.
The keyboard is not as difficult to learn like other instruments such as violins. The violin is a fretless music instrument, which means the user would have to be familiar with the “feel” of the violin and learn primarily by ear. The keyboard, however, have black and white keys, and each key is designated to produce a sound that is of the note it signifies.
A keyboard lesson for beginners starts with basic rules. The student is given an overview on how the keyboard is played and an introductory lesson which includes explaining the difference between a half step and a whole step.
Each of the white keys represents the letters A to G while the black keys a sharp or flat. Except for some points where two white keys lie side by side, there are black keys in between the white keys.
If you section the keyboard, you will have a set of two black keys and another set of three black keys. The white key to the left of a set of two black keys signifies a C note. From the C note the next white keys correspond to D, E, F, G, A, and B moving towards the right.
The next white key after B is C again and this completes one octave on the keyboard. The student’s compliance and dedication to practice regularly, applying what he has learned will dictate the outcome of the keyboard tutorials after mastering the basic principles.
Music is believed to be human soul manifested. The belief that getting keyboard lessons to make music is a complicated task is false. Music is inherent in people’s nature and being able to produce music or have music in his life is not a hard goal to reach.

Pride & Prejudice [Music from the Motion Picture] $10.48 The year 2005 was big for Italian composer Dario Marianelli. His score for The Brothers Grimm received much applause (probably more than the film itself) and a few months later he came back with another batch of compositions for a period film. This time around, the plaudits are reversed: The film is better than the score. And that’s not the only reversal: Since several of his compositions were to … |
