Violin Con

Pro’s and Con’s of the violin?
Hi
I’m fourteen and interested in playing the violin. I heard that its better to start young playing it.
I played the piano for about 5 years, so I know how to read music, but I don’t know how playing the piano will affect playing the violin.
What are the pros and cons to playing the violin?
Thank you so much in advance!
If you’ve been playing piano for five years and have been steadily increasing the number of hours you play, then playing violin at fourteen isn’t too late, so don’t worry too much about that (you’ve become more mature at that age, and since you stuck with piano you know your training method).
Since you have played piano and learned how to read notes, violin will help give you a chance to acquire good pitch, so you don’t need to rely heavily on your tuner all the time! xD I don’t think you do, but for some people a tuner is what gives them another lifeline for that kind of thing.
Essentially there are no con’s to playing the violin, except that it takes patience to get a good tone from your violin, as well as correct position.
Aside from learning how to efficiently read notes at a more advanced level, your left hand fingers are going to be very nimble and strong. It’ll also increase your awareness, so when you start driving you’ll be more alert as you can see more than one thing in front of you (this may not be true, but at least I think it’s proven for myself).
One con might be that good violin teachers are costly? Unless you have a lesson scholarship which I know some school conductors talk about.
