Increasing A Good Understanding For The HP LaserJet 6P Printer
The HP LaserJet 6p printer using HP LaserJet 6P laser toners is easy to appreciate even after just a few minutes of putting it through its paces. It’s a generally versatile and low-in-price model laser printer that Hewlett-Packard has obviously aimed at the home office or small office environment rather than the more high-capacity network workgroup environment. HP seems to have done well at this effort with the 6p.
For one, the 6p can print out about eight pages in a minute with the HP LaserJet toners. This isn’t speed demon territory, but it does its job well enough. Also, it’s compact enough in size to enable it to fit on a desktop without disturbing anything else around it. There is no duplex printing capability, but most anybody looking for an inexpensive laser printer probably wouldn’t care about that particular function in the first place.
As if that weren’t enough, the printer itself is also very small in size, measuring only 16 inches in width by 8 inches in height. It fits snugly on any corner of a desktop, churning away and doing whatever it’s asked. It doesn’t offer two-sided printing, but that’s hardly of concern to most any home-office entrepreneur who needs an inexpensive printer that does laser jobs with ease.
As far as print quality goes, the HP 6p comes to the game with standard 600 dots per inch print capability. Most folks would say that this is average performance, but again, consider the purchase price that goes along with that decent print quality and it’s hard to see what reasons would be exist to complain about any sort of print resolution capability.
This particular Hewlett-Packard makes use of traditional wired technologies to connect to a computer or network, though optional wireless capabilities are available for an additional fee. Most users in this particular market segment will probably just stick to the more traditional wired connectivity ability. Just plug it in and let the printer upload its drivers and one will be churning out product within a few minutes.
There’s only 2 MB of memory, but it can be upgraded to 50 MB total, so the printer will need to make use of the computer’s processing power to get its jobs done. For a printer at this price point that’s fairly standard in terms of operating procedures. A 24 MHz processor is also on board, which helps to explain a little about why it prints out at eight pages per minute. Still, it holds a nice 350 sheets of paper, which is exceptional for printer of this price.
Monthly duty cycle is also good with this HP printer, at 12,000 pages. Monthly duty cycle refers to the maximum amount of printed pages that any printer can produce within a month. Hewlett-Packard has made a cartridge for this particular printer that’s good for over 4,000 pages. All of this combined means that printing costs per page should be very nice, also sure to please an entrepreneur.
Taken altogether, there is a great deal to like when it comes to the HP LaserJet 6p printer. Given that it can be found for as little as $60 and no more than $90 from a number of online outlets, it will make any purchase decision all the easier to arrive at. It connects easily and is also fairly durable. This is sure to make it a constant presence in many home office or small office environments.

HP printer toner seems to resist costly reprints by printing right the first time and ink and toner cartridge online is a definite bargain.
