Unlimited Orchestra

Unlimited Orchestra
The Cheesiest Disco………….?

Disco may be the some of the worst music ever invented seeing how it was what white folk created when they couldn’t pull off funk.

Anyway- as bad as disco is, you and I know we all love it on some level. The problem is that most disco comps include just the known big “hits” Dancing Queen, If I Can’t Have You, Last Dance etc. and I have those songs.

I am looking for the most over blown, string and horn laden, disco gems out there. I go so far as to call is “white man’s disco” or “love boat disco”.

Songs like:

“Young Hearts Run Free” by Candi Stanton
“Love Is In The Air” – John Paul Young
“Take Me Home” – Cher
“Love’s Theme” – Love Unlimited Orchestra

So yeah… more more more disco, thanks you.

Dude, you’re on your own on this one. The only knowledge I have of
disco, is that techno is evil for keeping it around.

Love Unlimited Orchestra – I’m so glad that I’m a woman

Les Miserables: The 10th Anniversary Dream Cast in Concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall

$24.89

The 10th anniversary concert video of the international musical sensation Les Misérables might be the best thing to appease fans until a full-fledged movie comes along. Or it might be even better, as feature films are often subject to extramusical casting considerations and this 1995 dream cast is superb. Reprising their roles from the original London company are Colm Wilkinson (Valjean), Michael…

Absolutely one of the most hilarious movies ever made, this classic farce featuring the outrageous genius of the Marx Brothers is a chance to see some of their best bits woven together seamlessly in a story of high society, matchmaking, and chaos. In order to bring two young lovers together, brothers Groucho, Chico, and Harpo must sabotage an opera performance even as they try to pass themselves o…

August Rush

August Rush

$3.45

Music has long been considered a universal language with the power to bring people together, but can the simple act of playing music possibly unite a child with a mother and father who live in two different cities and don’t even know of the child’s existence? Having shared one extraordinary night, classical cellist Lyla Novacek (Keri Russell) and Irish singer and songwriter Louis Connelly (Jonath…

Xanadu (Magical Edition)

Xanadu (Magical Edition)

$4.19

A wimpy remake of an already anemic movie (the 1947 Rita Hayworth vehicle Down to Earth), this glitzy musical from 1980 improbably stars Olivia Newton-John as a heavenly muse sent here to help open a roller-derby disco. Gene Kelly is mixed up in this well-meaning but goofy effort to fuse nostalgia with late-’70s glitter-ball trendiness, and he looks just plain silly. Directed by Robert Greenwald, …
