Titled Columbia
Was the name to the show “UGLY BETTY” originally titled “BETTY THE UGLY”?
I swear I remember watching the promo’s for the show a few months before it premiered, but it was titled “Betty the Ugly (after Columbia’s ‘Betty la Fea’)” and not “Ugly Betty” like it is now. Does anyone else remember “Betty the Ugly” being the original name of the show or am I mistaken? Maybe I was dreaming? I don’t know.
Yes! but, in Spanish, it was “Betty la Fea”. The original serie was a Colombian (South America) soup opera and it came out in the mid 90′s. It was a bit different to this version as there wasn’t a plot to destroy Daniel’s father or anything like that. Just the ugly secretary who fell in love with her boss. It was extremely funny!
