South Africa became the first African hosts of the World cup in 2010 and next up we will be in Brazil in 2014. Vuvuzela was definitely one of the biggest selling items in the World cup in South Africa even though there were complaints from people about the noise. Alcohol and flowers are up in the top 5 as well. Branded products of the countries in the World cup were also up there but most of them already had them when they arrived in South Africa. Lot of money were made by flower business by having send flowers online services which can be used by many to send flowers to their family and friends back home and just making them jealous.
At the start of the tournament people wanted vuvuzela’s to be banned because all they could hear inside the stadium was vuvuzela, even the players were complaining but vuvuzela’s didnt get banned, they brought vuvuzela’s that made less noise than the previous and the tournament carried on in South African manner. People were using it happily and also no one complaint. Almost every single African fans had vuvuzela in their hand, singing and dancing. The atmosphere around the whole continent was fantastic let alone just South Africa.
There has to be alcohol when there is football. Especially when it comes to going to a hot country, even though it was winter there the weather was still warm for us Britishers. It’s just a shame that the football team cannot perform. Alcohol were another top sellers in South Africa I think this might have just topped the chart.
There was a lot happening out there, people were getting married left right and centre well I went to few. This is a fantastic time to propose to someone you love I feel. You will be surrounded in great atmosphere and a lot of people would be happy. I was invited to a wedding ceremony of a couple who I met in the plane. I was not able to find wedding flowers so I got and turned birthday flowers into wedding bouquet and gift them that. There were many people from around the World who joined in, even though no one knew each other.
So Flowers, Alcohol and Vuvuzela are definitely up there in top sellers on the World cup.
