What does if you love me you will keep my commandments really mean?
I went to church today and the pastor had a sermon on this.I accepted Christ but I’m living a life that is not pleasing to him,I struggle with sin.I never seen myself as one who did not love the lord but my actions and the Scripture confirms this.Does this mean I will lose my salvation and go to hell?
Who has been teaching you this? God is love. Why would he send someone who he loves to such a terrible place as hell? Why would a father send his child to as terrible a place as hell? It is sad how some people feel the need to scare others into believing they are damned eternally.
But this is not an excuse to go and do whatever you want. Do what feels right. Not what others say, not even what a law says. If you listen to your inner voice, the Trinity will guide the way to a life full of love for you.
