How often should you take your pet to the vet for dental cleanings?
If you brush your puppies teeth like everyday,give him nylabones,and feed him dry dog food,how often should you take the puppy to the vet for a teeth cleaning?(I only say brushing teeth everyday,chews on nylabones,and eats dry dog food so you won’t give me an answer completely not related like “if he gots dirty teeth now,take him!”,ya know?)

I plan on getting a small dog breed.A puppy.I think I’ll take him 2wice a year.
It depends on your dog. I’ve had dogs who at the age of 10 or 11, still had really clean teeth and gums and had never even needed a scaling, but my greyhounds, who get their teeth brushed daily and chew on nylabones as well as raw knucklebones, have bad teeth and need scaling twice a year, and occasional full dentals. With getting them scaled a couple of times a year, they don’t need complete dentals as often. So, there is no “should” – it depends on your dog’s teeth and gums.
