Why the Martial Arts Are Not as Good as the Real Self Defense for Streets

Martial Arts are awesome. People who train them are energetic, healthy and very handy. Each and every martial art has its own incredible historical background and some of them has developed in new great systems.

Doing martial arts as a sport activity is incredibly addictive and people love to watch the players fight with each other. Fighters in shape, longing for honor, respect and mainly – the feel of victory.

I just love martial arts …but to be honest, martial arts are not made for streets.

Fighting in clean rings with judges guiding the abidance of rules and with coaches ready to throw the towel to protect their apprentices.

Nothing of that is waiting for you on the streets. That is not what street fight is about.

Learning to fight in ideal environment will get you hurt in real life combat.

There are many vicious criminals who doesn’t want to win and conquer you. They want to rape, mug, beat or even kill their prey. You won’t find such people in a ring because their tactics are way different from sport and culture.

Simply put – there is a difference between martial arts and self defense.

Many people call their courses “self defense“, but it is in many cases the same old Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido or Judo staff that has nothing to do with real self defense tactics.

Self defense teaches only the real and proven close combat tactics tested in the real combat and real battlefields.

Brutality is one of the key terms applied in each tactic and strategy. Dealing with stress and fear factors, criminal psychology and only the most effective combat moves the real self defense takes the leading place when it comes to street fight.

Don’t fall a victim to your own ignorance and if you are serious about your safety, include the self defense tactics in your martial arts arsenal and increase your chances for survival.

It is great to practice martial arts… It is becoming a necessity to learn the real self defense.
