anyone else into ozric tentacles?
never heard of them til today and i got two CDs out of a charity shop…99p each… brilliant….reminds me of the steve hillage days…never new this sort of music was still being delivered..and what exactly are ozric tentacles?

seen them 16 times.
in short they are from the days of the free festivals, and in the last 20 or so years they have developed a unique rock/trance/eastern/dubby sound which is still evolving.
fronted by the one and only ed wynne, the brains of the band, he is probably still the worlds most unsung guitar god.
people dismiss them as a has been hippy band, but this is nonsense!
the name of the band came out of a discussion about imaginary breakfast cereals over a campfire at the stonehenge festival 1984.

out of their 20+ cd’s, i recommend sliding gliding worlds, pungent effulgent, erpland and strangeitude.
