Whats the technical name for the dramatic music used by Stan Freberg?
You know, the detectivey theme that goes Duh, duh duh DUUUHH, as in the beginning of this video?
I’d love a link to a download of just those notes if someone has it.
That’s the “Dragnet Theme” by Walter Schumann (itself derived from a piece of incidental film score music by Miklos Rosza titled “Danger Ahead, but that’s a different story).
As already mentioned, Jack Webb granted Stan Freberg permission to use it for his comedy sketch record “St. George and the Dragonet” (with Capitol Records staff arranger/bandleader Billy May conducting the orchestra on that recording)
