I need a good auditioning monologue for South Pacific?
I am trying out for South Pacific and am interested in doing Nellie or Bloody Mary, Does anyone know of any good auditioning monologue for these parts?
Before you Audition, get a copy of the Script and Learn it.
This will give you a huge advantage and provide you with insight to who the characters are, where they come from, what’s important to them and the story.
I did South Pacific last year. It is a beautiful show.
Bloody Mary’s a lot of fun, very cultural, a little stereo type, loud and expressive.
Nellie is very similar to Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Disney say they got their inspiration from Nellie.
Once you know the characters, finding a monologue will be much easier & more enjoyable.
