Siouxsie Banshees

Add Color To Your Party
Imagine Duran Duran, Lady Gaga, The Rolling Stones, Ella Fitzgerald and Toby Keith all needing you. Ever heard of a bitty thing called a silent disco? It happens anywhere you can fit a turn table and a few DJ’s where the partiers get to chose who they want to play. DJ’s are in a race for your vote on the dial.
However, the little known, better version is called mobile clubbing and it is via the iPod. You are now in control of who is singing in your ears. Vibrant iPod 4G cases ablaze with dotties and then watching the glow of an iPod classic cases interacting all on a different selection. To onlookers it looks like total chaos. Once the observer gets what’s going on he updates his social network and starts to party.
Since 2003 these parties have existed. UK born artist Ben Cummins is the father of said incidents. 4,000 people came sprinting to the grandest mobile club ever in 2007 dancing to Vampire Weekend, Orgone and Cloud cult. Hours later, the law had to break it up, but not due to any noise bemoanings.
Here in Los Angeles there are always these discos happening, and now with the cool 4G capability and fun iPod 4G cases there is a party just begging to start. Perhaps someone is trying get a hold of you to meet them for a mobile club at 7/11 right now. Wouldn’t that be extreme?
There’s also a green side to this. Run to the peak of a mountain with the skies nightlights leading the way and hold up your 4G iPods and iPod classic cases and party until the light of day. You can be old or young to make this happen; it does not require adult beverages, just some know how and a little, very little planning.
Keep this in mind when you and your friends can’t find anything to do on Saturday. It is free, enjoyable and safe, but beware, you never know who is playing Black Flag and craves a slam dance.
