Police Stories That Are Funny
Looking for some funny stories to read? How about when you just want to read a good book that has nothing to do with your life? Well, reading about the job of a police officer may be your answer. Reading about crazy situations that seem just like you are in a movie is your answer.
The job of a cop or police officer makes you automatically think of risky, scary work. And most of the books I have found out there are about the dangers and risks of being a cop. There are books about being a cops wife, stories of murders, drugs and danger. So it was perfect to find a few books about officers that are entertaining and hilarious.
You have to know that police officers must run into the craziest situations and the craziest people because they are dealing with people and violators who don’t want to get caught. What a crazy job where every day is completely unexpected. In fact, I can think of one or two funny situations I have had with an officer.
It makes me think back to when I was little and I did something wrong.
How did you act when your parent’s caught you? Did you get mad at them or did you burst out crying? Now imagine what that must look like as an adult. Probably this is what the police officer is thinking as he listens to our excuses and our tantrums. So, it is only natural to walk away with quite a few funny stories. After reading the books below, I couldn’t imagine life as a cop.
Take for instance this book I found called Confessions of a Las Vegas Motorcop. The book is full of funny police stories about a cop who patrols Las Vegas and the strip. He finds himself in all sorts of messes that involve things like axes, strippers, motorcycles, Nascar, angry drivers, drunk vacationers and more. The book is quite humorous and unexpected.
Another book I found amusing was The Funniest Cop Stories Ever, which tells good police stories from an cop in New York City. This book has stories about being a beat cop where as the motor cop book is from a traffic patrol man.
The two books that I have recommended here are both good. Because they are short stories, they read quickly and easily. It is a good idea to read both of these books if you are thinking of getting into this profession.
Now when you are about to embark on a vacation or you have run out of things to read at night, pick up these books and try some good police stories.
