Purchasing a single 12 inch L7, should i go sealed or ported?
I would also like to add that the speaker is going to be in the back seat of my mustang. I want sound quality and bass beacause I listen to all kinds of music minus country. The speaker is gonna be powered by a 750 rms amp(the power that is recomended). Even though the speaker is mounted right behind my head with the recomended power would sealed take away from the low deep bass in a rap song?
The only real advice that i can give you is, if you are planning on buying an “off the shelf” enclosure, go with a sealed box. It’s really hard to find a well designed pre-fab ported enclosure. Sealed enclosures are just the hardest to screw up. there is no tuning involved in the design. Just make sure that the internal volume matches the kicker spec.
