Sealed Double
How can I get my double-paned condo window to seal properly and totally shut at the bottom?
It is leaking lots of AC and is making my room really hot. You do the latch and the window bounces back up a little. The window in the other bedroom totally seals at the bottom without even doing the latch. It also has some sort of rod on the right side near the top of the window.
If its a newer stye window, that can be tiletd in for cleaning, chances are one side or the other is not in the track properly. try removeing the window clean the tracks and reinstall. if older window just get some self stick foam weather striping.If one side of the bottom touches before the other , and reinstalling the window as above,dosent fix the problem you probably have a more serious problem with settling or improper installation
