On the other hand, SP have 2 songs per side and are 7 inches with a 45 rpm speed. It can make about 6 minutes of music each side. Maxi SP records can run songs for 12 minutes each side. It is rare to get a 10 inch SP but there are 33 rpm SPs.
Vinyl records are often black, though there have been limited editions that are available in a variety of colors; some are even colorless. The hue does not affect its performance, but some say that colored albums are easily damaged. Picture discs have designs on the sides. They have sheer wraps to reveal the designs.
Weight is a big issue. Almost all vinyl albums have a similar weight. LPs and audiophile records weigh 120 and 200 grams respectively. Heavy albums have deeper grooves, producing the sound and volume beautiful.
