Red Light

What determines if you ran a red light and the red light camera will get it?
If there are white lines and you stop on them, in texas, does that mean you ran a red light and the red light camera will get you. Or does it just work if you stopped past the white line? Bc there were like 5 white lines and I stopped on top of the first one.
I’ve answered similar questions referring to this…..
The red light cameras have sensors built into them. Sometimes they work correctly, sometimes not. I’ve been at intersections with red light cameras before, where I stopped correctly, and at the proper place, and the camera still flashed on me, but I never got a ticket for running the red light because I did nothing wrong.
In Texas, (in Killeen, where I live) the camera doesn’t automatically snap your picture and send you a ticket in the mail. A police officer actually sits in front of a computer and reviews the “violations” that the camera captured. After reviewing the video(s), if the officer sees that a violation occurred, then he/she will submit it, and that’s when you’d get the ticket in the mail. If you stopped at the red light correctly, then you should not get a ticket in the mail.
