Rare Import

What American food/candy should I bring to my host family in Japan?
Any items Japan wouldn’t have? I hear Jello is something rare over there and Hershey’s is very expensive since its an import. Anything along those lines?
Kit Kats, while popular, are readily available in Japan, and I haven’t met a single Japanese who prefers Hershey’s over Japanese or European chocolate. Jello is sold only at international super markets, so that could work if you are going to a small city or a rural area. I, too, recommend something from your state or city, (like chocolate-covered macadamia nuts if you are from Hawaii, for example, or locally-made jam: for some reason, blackberry jam is something of a rarity here while blueberry jam is common enough).
