Promotional Copy
What does Promo mean?
In regards to records (vinyl). A “promotional copy”. Does it still contain the same material as would a normal copy of the album?
Yes. Just like they do with promotional CDs now, back then they produced promo vinyl records to give out to radio stations to play on the air. It was marked “promotional copy” because it was not meant for retail sale.
