Will We Ever Be Able To Use Motors In Our Cars Which Aren’t Oil Based?
How likely is it that all the talk we are hearing these days about solar powered cars or electric cars, is going to become a reality and see the oil based motor in cars being replaced? A few years ago most experts would have believed that the electric car was just a novelty item and that an efficient solar powered vehicle was the stuff of pipe dreams. Times have changed though and we are now seeing a huge advance in the technology; people are no longer asking if these vehicles will replace the traditional motor but most are asking when it will happen.
Moving away from the petrol engine would be a great development for all of humankind. And being able to break the hold on those oil companies who have held us all in their power for many years would be great; they would be the only ones not to benefit from this. Of course the power for the electric motor has to come from somewhere and most of electrical power comes from fossil fuels but this is changing. The main thing is that a move to this new technology would reduce our dependence on oil. It would also mean far less pollution and huge financial savings for everyone.
In fact we have already seen some great electric cars which are viable alternatives to the traditional car and which have been released just this year. Although these cars might seem a bit expensive at the moment, the prices will drop as soon as some more cars appear on the market from different manufacturers and this is already underway. Within the next five years we should see a huge increase in the number of electrical vehicles on our roads and in ten years who knows what will happen. There is also a lot of research being carried out on the feasibility of a commercial solar-panel car, and this would be a truly green option.
Advances in technology nowadays continue to astound. And the automobile industry bears testament to this statement. And you only have to look at the advancement in electric cars. Fantastic advances in electric vehicleslike crossover vehicles to name only a very small number.
