Piano Sonatas

Who is the best Beethoven piano sonatas interpreter?
Generally speaking, who do you like best for the interpretation of Beethoven 32 piano sonatas? Gilels, Solomon, Alfred Brendel, Schnabel, Claudio Arrau, Paul Lewis, Daniel Barenboim, Wilhelm Kempff, or others?
State a reason for your choice.
Who is your favorite pianist?
I would choose Wilhelm Kempff who captures the essence of Beethoven. It was said of him that his performances of Beethoven piano works was the closest in spirit to the composer, like a conversation ongoing and that a person couldn’t find a better interpretation played anywhere else. I agree!
