How many eggs does the old lady have?
There is an old lady who has a basket of eggs. The eggs break and when she goes to the insurance agent they ask her how many eggs she had. She doesnt remember but when she tried to put them in groups of 1 she had one left over, when she tried to put them in groups of 2 she had 1 left over and so on until 6. When she put them in groups of 7 she gad none left over. How many eggs did she have?
She has 7 eggs (one for every day of the week, I guess.), and below is a “little something extra” that I thought you and others might really enjoy. All of this has inspired me to write a quick little poem for you:

The poor little old lady needs a lot of Love
Because the insurance company denied her claim of
Her apples which broke while carried in a basket
The old lady was so mad she nearly “blew a gasket.”
The insurance company had more than one concern;
Why didn’t the old lady be more careful and learn
The number of apples, broken or not!
