Night Shift
How can I stop Jehovah’s Witnesses knocking my door early Sunday morning after a night shift?
The last thing I want after a 12 hour night shift is Jehova’s Witnesses banging on my door early Sunday morning trying to get me to join their lunatic gang. Has anyone got any surefire ways of keeping these nuisance callers from prancing up my driveway with their stupid clipboards and smug Cheshire cat grins?
It really is quite amazing the kinds of immature and buffoonish responses people are giving you to this question. What’s even more ridiculous is that it’s quite obviously NOBODY does any of the things they’ve mentioned, so basically they’re viewing the question itself as a colossal joke.
If you are a night-shift worker, and don’t want anyone to disturb you while you get your sleep (whether it’s Jehovah’s Witnesses or anyone else for that matter), I’ve found that some people have a clearly worded note on their door or around their doorbell explaining their situation. Jehovah’s Witnesses aren’t out to disturb or annoy, and there are those of us who also work night shift jobs in order to care for our needs or our families’ needs, so we can respect that people need their sleep.
Also, you may want to just get a grip……nobody’s trying to get you to “join their lunatic gang”, and we certainly don’t use clipboards. You’re either talking about census takers or some other group.
