Night Long
How long is too long for a 3 week old baby to sleep during the night?
My baby girl is three weeks old and would probably sleep through the entire night (the full eight hours) if we let her. My husband wakes up every three hours or so to wake her up so she can eat. Is it okay to let her sleep all night long, the full eight hours? Someone once told me that you can’t let them sleep longer than four hours at a time. Is this true?

Ok, my first was a great sleeper, she came home from the hospital sleeping 8 hours at night also. I was also told to wake her up every 3 to 4 hours (depended on the person) I basically told them, screw you! Why would you want to ruin a good thing? There are so many moms out there who would kill to get 8 hours of straight sleep. If she is healthy, has enough pee diapers everyday who cares? I will tell you what my daughters doctor told me…. “A baby doesnt starve quietly, when they are hungry, they will LET you know.” Enjoy your sleep!
