To ensure that your possessions do not get lost while in transit, you should write your name at the top of each box. It is a good idea to make a list of boxes and their contents in case anything gets lost or damaged.

The meaning of this is that if you do not pack your belongings properly, you will be responsible for any damage to your items. Although, the moving company has the right to refuse a carton that is packed improperly and would ask the owner to repack it.
