When a guy is twenty, he very often has no idea how to talk to women or how to treat them. This is not by accident: women tend to mature more quickly than men and by the age of twenty the average female is simply more mature than the average male. That does not make life easy for young guys at all.
Having said that: most of us who are fifty years or older are still struggling with the intricate set of codes that a woman calls ‘talking’. The first thing is to always treat her with respect. Your lady would love you to tell her that she looks beautiful, but she would hate it if you make a remark about how revealing her top is and how men are staring at her assets ‘ even though that might be true.
Face the facts: women love to have a conversation about themselves. If you should therefore introduce yourself to a young lady, do not start off the discussion with a ten minute speech about how well you can negotiate the waves with your new surfboard. Rather ask her about herself. She would love to hear that you are interested in her and her life.
The vast majority of woman also prefer men who are courteous. Do not go too far with this, but offering to carry her heavy briefcase or shopping bags will most of the time count in your favor. Don’t spoil the moment by remarking on how you feel you have to help the ‘weaker sex’ though…
You also have to learn how to talk to women in front of other people. They hate it if you make remarks about how pretty the neighbor’s wife looks in her bikini. So unless you want to spend the night in the dog box, keep the conversation away from the assets of other ladies in the room.
