What would it take to seal the US/Mexico border?
The Berlin wall was 87 miles long, had guard towers every 100 feet, land mines, trenches, guard dogs, and they controlled the sided they did not want people to leave. Replicating it would require doubling the size of our military at a cost of an additional 700 billion per year not counting construction.
They were trying to stop all traffic and the US/Mex border is the third largest legal trade zone in the world.
Deportation is like carrying water with a sieve. So what would work?
And the Berlin Wall did not work.
If we cannot seal it than we should just say we are all Americans. Americans can immigrate to any other American country they want period. Because that is what is really happening, and we cannot solve the other very real problems with this immigration until we legalize and gain control.
I hate to be the one to break it to you, but Mexicans are people too. They live, they laugh, they cry…just like you.
