Buying sets of marimba mallets from old students?
My band director has started docking points off our grade if we don’t have the mallets that he wants us to have. Up until now I’ve been able to make by with two pairs of hard marimba mallets, a pair of xylo mallets, and various sticks. Where could I buy a cheap set of mallets with varying hardnesses (sets including approx 3-6 pairs of marimba mallets, a couple pairs of xylo mallets and some bell mallets)? Buying them individually is way too expensive, and I’m sure plenty of graduated music students have mallets with no use for them. (I’ve checked ebay and google shopping, they don’t have what I’m looking for.
If he requires them the school should provide them or are you in college?
