How do I handle a married man who asks me personal questions?
There is a man I work with who is married but he makes me uncomfortable because I find he wants to know a little too much about me and my activities. I just don’t think it’s appropriate. I do not want to make enemies, but how do I tell him tactfully that I really don’t want to answer his questions?
Simply tell him that the questions make you uncomfortable or that you dont think they are any of his business.
So are they the kind of questions that a guy asks a woman he is interested in ? If so then simply ask him what his reaction would be if someone was asking his wife such questions or what would his wife say if she knew he was asking such questions ?
Not knowing the questions it could also be that someone at the job is interested in you and he is simply asking questions to feed them info. Woman do so it should not surprise you that some men also do it.
Be careful with workplace romances because if things dont go well 2 things can happen:
* Since many people dont break up on good terms then the negativeness(anger, hate etc) could spill over into work.
* You get a reputation because many guys dont know how to keep there mouth closed as to what happened behind closed doors or about the relationship in general. So what happens is that guys either avoid you or start to ask you out based on your reputation.
Oh yea and I am sure you already know but some guys will make up stuff to tell others which ultimately will make its way around the workplace.
