Man Country
Should a christian listen to his man-made country, or to his lord and god?
Jesus was a strict pacifist. He taught us that if someone hit us on the cheek, we should turn the other cheek so that they might realize their wrong and forgiveness can begin.
So, if drafted, should a christian obey his country over his lord and god?
He was reffering to taxes when he was talking about Casear, not actually fighting.
it was a hypothetical question “If there was a draft…”
But if the laws of man and god conflict with each other, shouldn’t god’s laws outweigh the laws of man?
Oh, of course Jesus “called” people serphents and robbers. He was saying the truth, but that doesn’t make him not a pacifist. Simply because he would never strike another man!
Jesus said to “Give unto Caesar those things that are Caesar’s and unto God those things that are God’s.”
You are expected to do what the secular law requires.
