Are we lucky there was no chocolate in the Old World around the time of Jesus and Moses?

It seems Christians have taken things like alcohol and sex and made them evil, so would chocolate be considered evil had it been around in the Old World (Europe, Africa, Asia)?

Christianity did not make sex out as evil, we are not suppose to have sex before marriage.

As far as alcohol is concerned, drinking to excess is a sin, as is eating.

I seriously doubt chocolate would be considered evil if the plant existed in the middle east or europe or any where that they could of come in contact with it at that time.
