Luboff Choir
Is there any way I can sound better when I sing high?
Hello, I’m a second bass in choir. Today, my teacher handed out fun Christmas carols. About 20 of them. Most of the songs start out singing a High D on the bass clef! Yippie!!
As a second bass, I don’t like to sing higher than a G… So, I have to go falsetto for the duration of slowly descending from D to C to B to A A A G, wait, there’s a G! This means I can use my head voice, since it’s a Christmas carol, and that’s what my instructor wants. How to do get a good falsetto, and get into my head voice without cracking or doing anything wrong? The song I was talking about is: “Still, Still, Still” by Norman Luboff.
Keep in mind: I like to sing around the lower A to D area… That’s two octaves lower than I’m supposed to be singing.
Any voice teachers out there to give me tips towards a stronger falsetto/normal singing voice?
