A lot of his songs have heavy guitar riffs and strong solos, but he still keeps in the context of his songs. This essentially means he stays on a blues scale during solos to keep the music relating. To make some proper blues guitar songs, you need lots of ingredients, but in its simplest form, 3 chords is it.
