Is Josef Suk’s “Fantastic Scherzo” a masterpiece or a simple minor work?

It’s now gaining some new fame in a car commercial on U.S. television. I’ve always thought it was a gorgeous waltz, worthy of the Austrian waltz kings and a justifiably great small piece. Suk is a vastly underrated composer.

Suk may be considered a minor composer but he is still out there being played and enjoyed because being a minor composer is still very impressive considering how many composers there are and how many are no longer played (if you simply adore “Fantastic Scherzo” its a masterpiece to you and that is what counts)
