Joe Decides To Leave Town
Joe never thought of himself as a hero, but many other people thought that he was certainly a hero. Joe always thought of himself as your average person with a great job that allowed him to do the job that he loved and that was fighting fires. The problem was that one day the community paper decided to turn him into a hero because he had saved a little girl from a burning house.
After a couple of weeks he could not even purchase his own meal because people were giving him everything that he wanted for free. As he went out on town with his wife one night she quickly discovered that she could not be seen with him even because of all the questions. Some of those questions would even be about her favorite pair of pearl izumi shorts. She normally ignored them, but on occasion she would answer the questions just to give people something to talk about.
Joe decided that him with his fantastic wife would do something that they always dreamed of doing and that was to be able to use some of the items they had gotten over the years. The problem was it would require a vacation which would allow them to utilize the mongoose mountain bike the area bicycle shop offered both of them.
Given that that they had acquired an item they had never been able to use these prior to today. He told the people they were planning to take a train South to be in the comfortable retreats of the mountains. They understood that the fresh air would certainly help calm their aged fraying nerves, but the men and women from the township would be lost the whole time that they are gone.
When Joe realized how lost they would be for only a couple of weeks he knew that they would be stunned by the next thing he decided to drop on them. The next thing that he dropped on them was that they were actually going to purchase a house while down there. People did not think that was a good idea, but knew that he had always been one to leave the town for a great experience in the outdoors.
Joe did make a promise to the small crowd around his retirement party that they would purchase one item from each store in town. The good thing for Joe was that many of the stores had recently went out of business and his wife’s favorite clothing shop was one of them. The downside was that the bicycle shop had just gotten some diamondback bikes in and Joe knew that he had to have those.
Joe made a decision which would allow them to get away from the township during the night time. Then they wouldn’t have folks preventing them from leaving. Joe and his better half realized that the men and women of the township would certainly try to stop them and also speak out on the topic. Yet Joe and his better half knew they wanted to get out of town before anyone knew they were gone.
