Did Jan Peerce ever play the part of Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway..or off Broadway?
I saw Fiddler in the 1970′s in New York, on Broadway, I think. Tevye’s part was sung by an aging Met star. I thought it was Peerce, but could have been Robert Merrill (don’t know if Tevye was a tenor or baritone), and I can’t find either name listed in that part on the internet.
Yes, Peerce played Tevye in 1971 on Broadway.
