BQ: Adelaide Ivy Philomena or Adelaide Ivy Willamina?

Rosamund Joy Adeline: 9/10 I love all three names, they have a very vintage feel, and play well off of one another. The only flaw I see in the name is with Joy, which seems to alter the otherwise very nice fluidity of the name. Rosamund Adeline is very balanced, and even though the ‘d’s are a bit close together, they don’t clash or make the combo awkward. Overall I can see the appeal of all three names, especially if they hold a special place in your heart, and I would keep the combination. Rosamund is one of my very favorite Rose names, and has been since reading Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre. I would swoon to actually meet one!

Abram Ira Bennett: 10/10 This name is so gorgeous and masculine, I used to have a very similar name (Auden Bennett) on my favorites list, so when I saw Abram Bennett I was drawn to it immediately. I really like Ira, it adds to the overall rhythm of the name, and helps tie together the very edgy and striking Abram, and softer, literary, Bennett. Abram Ira Bennett is just such a quirky and complimenting name for a boy that I’d have never considered before seeing it here. I adore it.

Matilda Charlotte Wren: 9/10 I adore all of the names, Matilda Charlotte is gorgeous and classic. Matilda is one of those clumsy sounding vintage names that just doesn’t have the same elegance as something like Vivienne, which most people seem to prefer. I have Matilda on my own list because she feels so understated, she’s got just as much charm as something a little more mainstream, and I love the nick name options. Charlotte was a lovely middle name choice, not only does it flow well with Matilda, it brings some of the classy, familiarity of the time period back to the overall combination. Though I adore Wren, and the idea of Matilda Wren, Charlotte and Wren have the same vowel sound (their ‘e’s) which makes the two clash a bit, and the name ends a little abruptly for me.

Lawson Elias Henry: 10/10 I think Lawson is a very daring surname, not necessarily one I’d use, but one I see the appeal of. Its masculine and has a very bold presence, paired with Elias, which is equally as strong, I think it works well for a little boy, and I love the way the soft connotation of Henry stands against the sort of audacious Lawson Elias.

Adelaide Ivy Philomena: 6/10 I really like all of the names separately, together they just don’t flow well. Adelaide Ivy clashes for me because the vowel sounds are very close together and I get hung up on them, and adding Philomena (which is a gorgeous name by the way) just makes the name too, too long for my taste. I think swapping the positions of the middle names (if you are open to it) would make the rhythm slightly better, as Adelaide Philomena Ivy is a little more broken up in terms of the vowels, but I’m still not 100% sold on it. I do love the theme of all three names, and the image they have, though.

Sullivan Whitney Reid: 10/10 It took me a few tries to pick up on the natural rhythm of this name, but I must admit its gorgeous. Sullivan feels very musical and endearing, whereas Whitney feels vintage and old-fashioned, so I like the way the names compliment one another there. With Reid at the end the combination feels so complete (Reid just feels concrete and masculine to me, so it ties together the pair very nicely)

I adore your taste in names :)

ETA: This is what I mean :) Vintage names tend to be love or hate, I don’t personally find Rosemund to be harsh at all, if anything I’d describe it as robust, but I think its a plus for a name to have a lot of depth and dimension to it. Paired with Adeline, which is very soft, sweet, and feminine, I think it works well. I wouldn’t consider it unfortunate.

ETA (again, hehe) BQ: I prefer Adelaide Ivy Philomena, of the two
