Which (of these) speakers would you purchase? Sony vs Polk?
Im looking for a pair to add to my receiver. I had a decent pair of very old Advent IIs but the drivers are blown probably from age.
I am looking at two Sony’s for $99 at amazon or two Polks for $109 (with promo) at newegg.
They will be used for home audio hooked up to a receiver (Movies, Music, Gaming). Bass is important to me but quality is the most important as a woofer can always be purchased.
Whats the best bang assuming quality is most important and not the $10 difference? Will the Sonys have a lot more Bass – if so is it good bass?

Polk wins–by a mile: Sony speakers are mediocre at best. Sony specializes in electronics, not speakers. Polk Audio is a speaker manufacturer, period.
