How hard are boxers to train and potty train?
I had a boxer a couple years ago and it was hell . Imlove the dog breed more then any other dog. Now that I am on my feet again I’m looking to get another pet. ( i had to get rid of the boxer) as he seemed somewhat untrainable.. He would pee constantly in the house not only pee but would walk as he was doing it just leaving a crazy design. I could not leave him In his crate for more then 2 mins without him breaking out EVERYTIME I came home the house would be trashed and poop and pee everywhere. Should I switch breeds it sucks because I love the dogs so much but I’m worried about getting into the same situation, he was a 2 year old fawn that was not potty trained or crate trained or trained period . Please help thanks

Boxers are very smart dogs. so it should not be very hard to potty train them. You might want to get a new crate if your dog was breaking out. Once you get a new crate the dog shouldn’t be able to get out. Keep a schedule with him, feed him at the same time, take him out to pee at the same time, and play with him at the same time. Eventually you will be able to leave him out of the crate because he will know when its time to go out and use the restroom. This is how i always potty train my boxers.
One of my Boxers is a female, when she was potty trained she was 3 months, she is know 1 year.
My other Boxer was also a Female, she was 2 months when she was potty trained and is know 5 months.
