Ike Tina

Who can find a definite source for the recording dates of these two IKE & TINA TURNER songs?
Ike and Tina Turner recorded the song ”FIVE LONG YEARS” twice. One time, the song was 2:22 long, and another time, slower, great guitar lead, it was 3:24 long. I have them both, but the recording years for these ‘previously unpublished’ songs is not given.

I’m searching for a time here, when they were recorded, which came first??
DON’T FORGET TO ADD YOUR SOURCE, thanks.
I found a source that says this song appeared on a 1964 album called GET IT, (I think it is actually ‘Get It On’) in 1964. But it doesn’t say how long the song is..

I have just written an email to the guy who posted this list, I’ll get back to you later…
give me some time to find that CD for you, and the time of the song. I am guessing this is the version that came out first, because I can’t find anything earlier for Ike and Tina before 1963…
HERE IS a source for Blue Thumb Records, BTS -5 1969 which includes Five Long Years (later reissued as BTS 8805, in 1971): it was of course an LP and not a CD.

but once again, no time length.

And What’s Love Got to Do With It, based on her autobiographical account (in I, Tina, written with Kurt Loder) of her years under the iron fist of her abusive husband and musical partner/Svengali Ike, is further proof of what we’ve always know… |
