Higher Ground
How can life be cruel if that’s merely an opinon conjured by people holding higher ground in the circumstance?
After all, every human desires to label life in anyway they see fit. To some, “Life is like a box of chocolates” to others it is harsh and cruel. Though, over all, it is assumed life is a gift. Most cringe at the thought of death, my assumption being based on the fact that it is a very popular phobia. We’re so afriad to loose it.
So why then do we try and convince ourselves that life is unfair? Unjust? Cruel? Do we, as human need to blind ourselves of the overall picture in order to function? Or is it something else?
You can’t answer an artistic question with a scientific answer. The term cruelty is a human creation. Nature is not cruel, it’s just nature.
