Are there any albums out there like Herb Alperts ‘Midnight Sun’ – meaning smooth jazz with orchestral strings?

Herb Alperts ‘Midnight Sun’, a recording that came out arounf 1990, is like smooth, late-night jazz, but each songis backed with lush, orchestral strings (that do NOT sound like elevator music strings.) It’s almost symphonic in sound. Are there other albums like this, and if so what are they?

You might want to check out “Clifford Brown with Strings.” Nothing against Herb but Brownie was something special. The Neal Hefti arrangements are very tasteful. Charlie Parker also made classic “with strings” recordings – he pioneered the whole concept.
