The dermatologist said that the cause of hyperhidrosis is still unknown although many believe that it may be caused by a problem with the nervous system.
The dermatologist was right in saying that I was healthy but my facial hyperhidrosis had effects in my life especially when it came to social activities. I became a shy child and I was always fearful of new people because some kids in school humiliated me. When I became an adolescent, I had fears about dating someone because they might be turned off by my sweaty face. And as I grew older, I became more shy and less friendly.
I remember my parents bringing me to the dermatologist for treatments. I was disappointed after trying out one treatment after another because nothing worked for me. My face was irritated when I tried antiperspirants and the excessive sweating was still there. I also took anticholinergic drugs but I cannot tolerate the side effects.
Later on, my parents were convincing me to get botox injections but I never did. Aside from not liking injections, I also learned that the effects of botox injections only last for four months. I was looking for long-term results and did not want to settle for short-term ones.
I was resigned to living a less than normal life due to my facial hyperhidrosis. But then, a friend of mine told me about a product for facial hyperhidrosis which worked wonders for him. At first, I was skeptical about the product because it promises effects in a few days through natural remedies. I culd not believe that my friend was able to be hyperhidrosis-free without going through side effects and pain.
